Cookie policy

Which cookies and similar technologies we use and how to manage them.

Last updated: September 4, 2026

This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy and applies to users of olivia-software.com (the “Site”).

Cookies are small text files (or similar technologies, such as local storage) that store information on the user’s device while browsing. Below, “cookies” also means similar technologies.

1. Types of cookies

By duration: session cookies (deleted when the browser closes) and persistent cookies (retained for a defined period).

By origin: first-party cookies (set by the Site operator) and third-party cookies (set by other parties).

By purpose: technical cookies (needed for the Site to work or to provide a requested service); preference cookies (e.g. language or consent choice); analytics cookies (usage statistics, aggregated where possible); profiling or advertising cookies (not used on the Site).

2. Cookies used on the Site

Technical / necessary cookies: enable browsing and essential Site features. They do not require consent.

Consent preferences: the choice made via the cookie banner (accepting or refusing non-essential cookies) is stored in local storage on the user’s device (key olivia-cookie-consent), to remember the preference on later visits. This is a first-party technology strictly related to consent management.

Analytics cookies / tools: the Site uses Vercel Analytics to measure, in aggregated form, traffic and page interactions. This tool is enabled only after consent via the banner. Without consent, Analytics is not loaded.

The Site does not use advertising profiling cookies, Hotjar, Google Analytics, social pixels or similar marketing tracking tools.

3. Legal basis and consent management

Technical cookies and strictly necessary technologies operate without consent, under applicable law.

Non-essential analytics tools are enabled only with prior consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and ePrivacy / Italian Data Protection Authority rules).

On the first visit, a banner allows users to: accept all cookies (including analytics); continue with necessary cookies only; or read this Policy.

Users can always change their choice via the “Manage cookie preferences” link on this page, which resets the preference and shows the banner again.

4. How to disable cookies in the browser

In addition to the Site banner, users may manage or delete cookies in their browser settings. Disabling technical cookies may affect some Site features.

For more information on major browsers’ settings, see their respective support guides (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).

5. Updates and contacts

Olivia may update the list or purposes of cookies used by publishing the updated version on this page.

For questions about cookies and privacy: info@olivia-software.com or ftansella@olivia-software.com.

Users are also invited to review the notices of providers used, including Vercel (https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy).
